About image protection methods
Disabling right-click on images does not provide 100% protection and may impact general usability of your site for your “honest” viewers.
Someone viewing your gallery in their Web browser can just take a screen capture or look in their browser's cache folder. This and similar methods are not fail-safe and it is meant to just make it harder for the casual viewer to copy your images.
By the way the Web works, for an image to display on the viewer’s computer, that image needs to be downloaded. A user’s computer cannot display anything that does not actually reside on their computer. All text, images, etc. that a user sees on the Internet is actually always downloaded on the user’s computer to be displayed on their screen. As such, an enterprising viewer can always find a way to get to those images.
For best protection of your images we recommend you use watermarking. Placing watermarks on images is the method pervasively used by companies selling stock images.
