More about links This program gives you the flexibility to create almost any number of links in different locations within your gallery pages. For information on how to use these link features, go to the Link tab Help file.
Using links for optimal gallery integration
Header links: This feature enables you to create multiple links across the top of your gallery, which can serve as a navigation. This is particularly useful if you want to integrate your gallery into a Web site. there are two elements to creating Header links.
- Text and Link entry fields: This is the simplist way to add header links. For instructions on how to add links using these fields, go to the Link tab Help file page.
- HTML tab entry fields: You can also add links using the Custom HTML entry fields the HTML tab
Banner link: This feature adds a link to the banner of your gallery, to the right of your gallery title. Here are some examples of links you can add using the Banner Text and fields:
- "Contact Us" email link: in the Link field, use the syntax: "mailto:"+"email" (no spaces, e.g. mailto:joe@hotmail.com or mailto:info@mydomain.com)
- Home page link: you can either back to the home page of your gallery or to your Web site
- Other page links: "About us," or "My profile," or "Our mission," etc.
Footer link: This feature adds a link to the bottom of your gallery. Here are some ways you might use this link:
- Privacy Policy or Terms of Agreement pages
- Contact information
- Copyright information
- Other page links
ATTENTION: If your HTML code contains references to an external file (e.g. an image file), please make sure you use absolute paths referencing the URL of where the file can be found online. Relative paths do not work since the code you enter will be placed in various gallery pages which reside in different locations in the gallery folder structure.
Changing the "look" of your links
You can customize links using the Theme Editor in Step 4, Customize tab of the wizard. The Banner links are located in the Banner section in the editor, and the Footer link is located in the Menu/Footer bar section in the editor. Header links can only be customized using HTML code in the Custom HTML entry fields in the HTML tab.
